Wanting to link their past heritage with the present generation, Susan and Robert Jenkins decided to name the company Harper Jenkins Scobie Enterprises. They decided to place their last name, Jenkins, in the middle of the company name to represent the current generation. They decided to surround their last name with their mother’s maiden names, hence, Harper is Susan’s mother’s maiden name, and Scobie is Robert’s mother’s maiden name.
